Emily Gielnik returns to Sweden

Westfield Matilda Emily Gielnik has signed for Swedish club Vittsjö for the 2021 season. 

Gielnik has been enjoying a fantastic season for Brisbane Roar in the Westfield W-League. She currently leads the golden boot standings with 12 goals. 

This season has also seen Gielnik achieve a big milestone in the league, notching up her 100th appearance in the competition earlier this season.

The 28-year-old returns to the club where she spent the latter half of the 2020 season and will link up with Brisbane and Westfield Matildas team mate Clare Polkinghorne. 

The Roar will farewell Gielnik and Polkinghorne at home on March 28 in their final regular season clash before the Westfield W-League finals.
