Transfer rumours: Cahill to Middle East?

Qantas Socceroo Tim Cahill could be set to join Lucas Neill in the Middle East, with UK media reporting the Everton star is a target for Saudi club Al Nassr.

Qantas Socceroo Tim Cahill could be the next big-name Australian to play in the Middle East, with UK media reporting the Everton star is a target for Saudi club Al Nassr.

Cahill has two years left on his contract with the Premier League club but has struggled to find his best form this season, with only three goals in all competitions.

The Daily Mail reports that Everton boss could be tempted to sell the Australian to the wealthy Riyadh-based club to raise some much-needed transfer funds for the struggling Merseyside outfit.

Cahill has become a club legend after eight years with the Toffees but could become the third senior Qantas Socceroo to play their club football in the Middle East, alongside Lucas Neill and Mark Bresciano, who both play in the neighbouring United Arab Emirates Pro-League.
