No one was more excited than the Commonwealth Bank Matildas for their return home, putting on a show for the 15,270 spectators who made their way to CommBank Stadium.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent months-long lockdowns, Australia would see its favourite team play at home for the first time in over 18 months.

Expectation and excitement were high for an event worth remembering and the Commonwealth Bank Matildas did not disappoint.

With a  3-1 victory over Brazil the Commonwealth Matildas shared their love and appreciation of home.

Alanna Kennedy celebrated her 100th cap by captaining the team to victory at home.

Goals from Clare Polkinghorne, Mary Fowler and Emily van Egmond sent roars through CommBank Stadium.

While federations, players, media, fans and players shared in the celebrations from both the stadium and at home.
