Sam Kerr up for FA WSL Player and Goal of the Season awards

Sam Kerr headlines a nine-player shortlist for the Barclays WSL Player of the Season award, with Chelsea's Emma Hayes, Arsenal's Jonas Eidevall and Spurs' Rehanne Skinner up for the Manager of the Season award.

Kerr played a key role in helping Chelsea claim their third consecutive WSL title, scoring a double against Manchester United on the weekend to help the Blues win 4-2. The Aussie striker walked away with back-to-back WSL Golden Boots, claiming the award with 20 goals in 20 appearances.

This nomination for Kerr comes off the back of winning the FWA Women's Footballer of the Year award earlier this month, presented with the award at the annual dinner. Kerr is nominated for the Player of the Season alongside two Chelsea teammates in Guro Reiten and Jess Carter.

After a standout season with Arsenal, Vivianne Miedema and Beth Mead were also named to the shortlist. Miedema finished second to Kerr in the Golden Boot race, with 14 goals in the season for the Dutch striker.

Manchester City duo Alex Greenwood and Lauren Hemp are also included on the list, while Manchester United's Ella Toone and Tottenham defender Ashleigh Neville round out the list.
