Kerr's tally was the joint-highest in the competition alongside Manchester United's Leah Galton, boosted by a hat-trick against West Ham in early December.

The Australian captain also boasted the best conversion rate for the month, with her four strikes arriving from only five shots on target at a shooting accuracy of 83.3%.

Only Reading's Jess Fishlock registered more shots on target throughout the month.

Kerr also contributed heavily in sparking attacks for Chelsea, averaging 19.4 metres per carry, the second most of any player to have made at least five carries.

Chelsea sit in third place but are in touching distance of the summit after seeing two matches postponed due to UEFA Women's Champions League commitments and the impact of COVID-19.

Kerr's side are currently two points astray of Caitlin Foord's Arsenal in second spot.

Not to be outdone, the Westfield Matildas forward's shooting accuracy of 80% was the second highest in the competition, only narrowly behind her international teammate.

Foord's two goals, against Birmingham City and Everton, arrived from a total of four shots on target.

The WSL is currently on a winter break, with play slated to continue from the 9th January.
