A rematch of last season's Women's FA Cup final saw Arsenal host Chelsea, with a spot in the final up for grabs. Sam Kerr, Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley all started for their respective clubs and it was the latter that almost fashioned the first real chance of the day.

The Blues finally took the lead in the second half, a wonder strike by Guro Reiten was unable to be palmed away by Manuela Zinsberger.

Ji So-yun doubled the defending champions' lead with another fizzing goal from just inside the box.

The Gunners were unable to register a single shot on goal in the tie as Chelsea walked away 2-0 winners. The Blues will have the chance to defend their title and make it back-to-back wins in the women's fa cup when they take on Manchester City next month at Wembley Stadium.

Lydia Williams was an unused substitute on the bench.
