Matildas Abroad: Cup final for Kyah Simon and Amy Harrison

Ahead of the international break, the Westfield Matildas abroad will play another round of action with silverware on the line in the Netherlands.  

Matildas June Friendlies

France

The final round of Division 1 Féminine sees PSG in pole position to claim its first ever league title. Ellie Carpenter's Lyon can continue its 14 year dominance if it is able to beat Fleury and Dijon defeat PSG.

In other fixtures, Laura Brock's EA Guingamp rounds out its season against third placed Bordeaux while Mary Fowler's Montpellier travel to Paris FC. 

Sweden

Emily Gielnik and Clare Polkinghorne's Vittsjö come up against Växjö. Gielnik scored her third goal of the season last week, outmuscling and outsmarting the defender before slotting home past the onrushing goalkeeper into an empty net. 

Recent Westfield Matildas call up Charlotte Grant has been plying her trade in Sweden with FC Rosengård. The team is undefeated at the top of the table with Grant appearing twice in seven rounds of competition.

Netherlands

The Dutch season comes to an end this weekend with the final of the KNVB Cup. Amy Harrison and Kyah Simon will be hoping they get to lift some silverware when PSV play Den Haag. 

Rest of the World 

Over in Norway Teagan Micah will look to build on her clean sheet from the previous round as her IL Sandviken side look to make it three wins from as many games when it takes on Stabæk. Heading into the final rounds in Spain, Aivi Luik's Sevilla host Real Betis.


Beattie Goad's SV Meppen is looking to avoid relegation and it all comes down to the last day. With the bottom two teams in the Frauen-Bundesliga going down, Meppen must beat Freiburg and hope other results fall its way to stay up.
