Five-goal Fowler stars in Westfield Young Matildas win over Nepal

Mary Fowler scored five goals as the Westfield Young Matildas opened their 2019 AFC U-19 Women's Championship second round qualifiers with an 11-1 win over Nepal on Friday.

The 16-year-old scored a hat-trick in the opening 15 minutes and added two more goals either side of the interval before leaving the field in the 63rd minute.

Susan Phonsongkham and MelindaJ Barbieri also joined in on a dominant opening half for Gary van Egmond’s side, with the only blemish in the first 45 minutes coming from Nepal’s Manjali Kumari.
