CommBank Junior Matildas learn qualification path for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024™

The final hurdle awaits eight teams in their quest to clinch their spots for the AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024™ as they gear up for Round 2 of the Qualifiers.

Our CommBank Junior Matildas have been drawn into Group B, alongside Bangladesh, Vietnam and Philippines, with the top two sides from each group to join the three highest-seeded teams from the AFC U-17 Women’s Championship Thailand 2019 - Japan, DPR Korea, and China – as well as host nation Indonesia in the Finals. 

The CommBank Junior Matildas advanced to Round 2 of qualifiers after a perfect run in Round 1, beating Mongolia 11-0 and then defeating the Chinese Taipei 3-0 to finish at the top of the group.

Australia's AFC U17 Women’s Asian Cup Indonesia 2024™ Round 2 Qualifying Group

Round 2 of the Qualifiers is set to occur between September 16 and 24, with Australia awaiting news on where they will travel for Round 2 of qualifying. 

Rae Dower's side has been drawn alongside Bangladesh, Vietnam and the Philippines. Dates and kick-off times for all three group stage games will be confirmed closer to the start of qualifying.
