Who’ll start for Westfield Matildas in Geelong?

For those who played in the Westfield W-League last week, this will be a third game in a week. So we could see some squad rotation for the Geelong match against China PR tomorrow (Sunday).

We try to predict the starting XI that Alen Stajcic will pick on Sunday for the team's final match of 2017.

Keeper

Lydia Williams

After being rested for game one due to flying in from the US the day before, our world-class keeper should return after very capable displays from Mackenzie Arnold and late sub - and debutant - Eliza Campbell.

Defence

Ellie Carpenter

With Stephanie Catley under an injury cloud, could we see right-sided defender Carpenter converted into the left wingback role? She may be preferred to the left-footed and more experienced Elise Kellond-Knight. Ellie or Elise? We reckon Ellie.

Alanna Kennedy

Bossed it at AAMI Park. She’s a certainty to start again as she aims to shackle China's Wangs, Shuang and Shanshan.

Clare Polkinghorne

Set for cap number 99 for the national team. Her experience is key and her fitness should be good enough to see her back up after the midweek match.

Hayley Raso

On the right side of defence, the ribbon of Raso was up and down the wing all night. Superb in the wingback role on Wednesday night and could again be given that role.

Midfield

Emily Van Egmond

Key part of the team. Drives the play forward and she can break up attacks. And when the full backs go, she offers protection for the backline.

Elise Kellond-Knight

The classy left-footed midfielder has it all and could be cover on the left for Carpenter if she plays the left-sided role.

Chloe Logarzo

Logarzo will be fresher having come on as a sub on Wednesday and could be used in place of Tameka Butt in that right sided role in midfield.

Forwards

Kyah Simon

Could come in as the third striker if De Vanna is rested. Simon is one of our greatest strikers and did  well when she came on as a sub on Wednesday -  might be fit enough to play up to an hour in Geelong.

Sam Kerr

The player everyone wants to see, Kerr is certain to start at GMHBA stadium.

Caitlin Foord

Super fit, the attacker should be strong enough to back up from the start on Sunday.
