Brisbane Roar has marched on with two wins in four days to sit in second spot on the Westfield W-League ladder.
The pack of Westfield Matildas in orange were once again influential in a weekend with few matches but plenty of big moments.
After securing a win against the Western Sydney Wanderers on Thursday night, Brisbane backed up their efforts with a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Sydney FC.

This top of the table clash saw both sides enter the game with undefeated streaks and the teams exchanged goals early.
Kiwi international Olivia Chance released Emily Gielnik on the left wing. Her cross was met perfectly by Tameka Yallop who rose above Teresa Polias to head home her second goal of the season.
Down the other end, a touch too many from Morgan Aquino saw her attempted clearance ricochet off Clare Wheeler and into the back of the net.
Brisbane retook the lead not long after. Yallop dropped back into midfield and released Mariel Hecher down the right flank. Her high cross was too much for Jada Whyman to handle and Jamilla Rankin was there, waiting, to tap in at the far post.
The second half saw Roar extend their advantage. This time it was Clare Polkinghorne with a glancing header from a corner and a very special celebration to boot.

Sydney’s attacking threats were well marshalled and Brisbane were able to put a cherry on top with a fourth goal. A short corner saw Jamilla Rankin’s cross-shot prove too much for Whyman to handle.
Jake Goodship’s side remain the only undefeated team in the league.
With Victoria’s COVID-19 lockdown postponing Melbourne City’s clash with the Newcastle Jets, there was only one other match this round. Adelaide United bounced back from their 2-2 draw with the Wanderers to claim a 2-1 victory over Canberra United.
Once again, all eyes were on Michelle Heyman’s boots as she continues to search for her record breaking goals. But the efforts of Annalee Grove on debut in the Reds' net meant Sam Kerr’s record lives on a little while longer.
Meanwhile, Adelaide’s young guns were in scoring form with Chelsie Dawber’s sensational side foot volley giving Adrian Stenta’s team the lead.
Paige Satchell’s nutmeg goal brought Canberra level before Emily Condon’s curling shot became the eventual winner.
