Clare Polkinghorne found the back of the net in Sweden; while four Aussies picked up assists in their side's victories.

England

Alanna Kennedy, Hayley Raso and Mary Fowler's Manchester City recorded back-to-back victories in the WSL with a 3-0 win over Kyah Simon's Tottenham Hotspur.

Raso and Fowler started on the bench for Gareth Taylor's side, who were on the front foot before the break with Khadija Shaw opening the scoring from a corner.

Shaw doubled her tally just after the break with Lauren Hemp ensuring all three points with City's third of the day. Fowler replaced Shaw in the hunt for her first WSL goal, but the score remained 3-0 to the visitors. 

Emily Gielnik's Aston Villa was aiming to get back to winning ways when they hosted Clare Wheeler's Everton. The Toffees skipper Lucy Graham scored the matchwinner in the 57th minute of the game, with Wheeler coming off the bench after the goal to ensure Everton kept hold of their lead. 

Moving over to Liverpool, Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley's Arsenal was in search of their fourth consecutive win of the season when they faced newly promoted, Liverpool. 


Both Aussies made the start for the visitors, with goals to Lia Wälti and Frida Maanum sealing the 2-0 win, making it 12 consecutive WSL victories for the Gunners. 

Foord picked up the assist on Arsenal's second goal of the day, and was named the Player of the Match for the win. 

Meanwhile, Mackenzie Arnold's West Ham United looked to make it back-to-back WSL wins when they hosted Reading. The Hammers took a 3-0 lead into the break thanks to goals from Dagný Brynjarsdóttir and a double from Viviane Asseyi.

Reading clawed back a goal in the 75th minute, and then made it 3-2 minutes later from the spot, with West Ham able to hang on for the win. 

Lastly, Sam Kerr's Chelsea faced Brighton & Hove Albion in the final match of the round. Paul Green, stand-in head coach in Emma Hayes' absence, opted to start Bethany England up top with Kerr starting on the bench. 


A waterlogged pitch in Brighton saw both teams struggle to finish any of their chances in the first half, going into the break locked at 0-0. 

England finally found the breakthrough on the other side of the break. Kerr and Pernille Harder came off the bench in the 73rd minute and linked up for Chelsea's second goal of the night with the Aussie playing through Harder. 

USA

Moving over to the USA, Emily van Egmond's Wave FC were looking to book their spot in the NWSL final when they faced the Portland Thorns. 

Taylor Kornieck opened the scoring early for Wave, however, Raquel Rodríguez clawed back the equaliser for Portland with a wonder strike to send the game into the break locked at 1-1. Crystal Dunn scored the matchwinner in stoppage time to send the Thorns back to the championship, with Wave falling just short in their inaugural season. 

Still, on the West Coast, Chloe Logarzo's Kansas City Current booked their spot in the NWSL final after a 2-0 win over the shield holder, OL Reign. 

Alexis Loera found the opener just four minutes into the game, before Kristen Hamilton ensure a spot in the final with Kansas' second of the night in the second half. 

Sweden

Moving over to Sweden, Elise Kellond-Knight, Kyra Cooney-Cross and Courtney Nevin's fifth-placed Hammarby made it back-to-back wins with a 4-1 win over IF Brommapojkarna.

Cooney-Cross had assists in back-to-back games when she set up Madelen Janogy for Hammarby's third of the night, earning Player of the Match in the outing. 

Nevin and Kellond-Knight both came off the bench in the 79th minute to see out the win. 

Next up, Clare Polkinghorne, Katrina Gorry and Charli Grant's Vittsjö GIK hosted Remy Siemsen's AIK.

All four Aussies started the game for their respective teams, with Polkinghorne scoring the matchwinner from a free kick with Gorry picking up the assist for the goal.  


Meanwhile, Aivi Luik's BK Häcken faced Piteå IF, and a 3-1 victory sees Häcken move up into second for the moment, seven points behind ladder-leaders FC Rosengård.

Lastly, Teagan Micah's  FC Rosengård faced Kristianstad. Rosengård recorded a 2-0 win to ensure they kept one hand on the title. Micah did not feature in the matchday squad, as debutant Somea Položen kept a clean sheet. 

Norway

Our last stop takes us to Norway where Tameka Yallop's SK Brann Kvinner have been crowned league champions after a 2-1 victory against Rosenborg.
