The Westfield Young Matildas kick-started their campaign with a 3-1 win against host nation Thailand on Wednesday, following a 5-1 loss to Korea DRP in the pool opener.
Only a victory against Vietnam would send Australia through to the Semi Finals in their quest for one of three qualification places for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Nigeria in July 2020.
