With DPR Korea already confirmed as group winners, Australia are level on points with Vietnam, but behind on goal difference, going into the round's finale in at IPE Chonburi Stadium in Thailand.

The Westfield Young Matildas kick-started their campaign with a 3-1 win against host nation Thailand on Wednesday, following a 5-1 loss to Korea DRP in the pool opener.

Only a victory against Vietnam would send Australia through to the Semi Finals in their quest for one of three qualification places for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Nigeria in July 2020.
