WATCH: Kerr makes history; Catley with an assist for Arsenal | UWCL Review

The UEFA Women's Champions League group stage continued over the past two days, Sam Kerr made history for Chelsea with a four-goal haul while Steph Catley picked up an assist in Arsenal's 3-1 win.

Group A

Sam Kerr's Chelsea made it back-to-back wins in the UWCL group stage with a dominant 8-0 win over Albanian side Vllaznia, with Kerr scoring four goals in the win. 

Kerr opened the scoring for the Blues at the 10-minute mark, before doubling her tally right before the half-time break. Pernille Harder found Chelsea's third soon after to send the home side into the break 3-0 up.

The Aussie netted her hat trick from a corner after the interval, then finished her four-goal haul soon after. Becoming the first woman to score four goals in a UEFA Women's Champions League group stage game, netting all four goals in just under an hour of play. 

Harder also netted a hat trick, before Kateřina Svitková finished off the scoring in the eight-goal thriller.

In the other Group A game, Lydia Williams' Paris Saint-Germain was held to a 0-0 draw away to Spanish side Real Madrid. Williams did not feature in the matchday squad for PSG, with Sarah Bouhaddi starting for her second consecutive UWCL game. 

Chelsea moves to the top of Group A standings with back-to-back wins, and will now take on Real Madrid in late November.

Group C

Steph Catley started for Arsenal as they hosted Swiss-based side FC Zürich Frauen, after starting in centreback for the Gunners' in their last outing in the UWCL, Catley started back in her regular spot at left-back for Jonas Eidevall's side

The defender provided the assist for the opening goal, sending in a cross that found Jordan Nobbs who opened the scoring with a wonder strike.

Lina Hurtig doubled Arsenal's advantage in first-half stoppage time to send the home side into the break 2-0 up at Emirates Stadium. 

Zürich pulled one back through Seraina Piubel before Hurtig quickly restored the Gunners' two-goal buffer and doubled her tally for the night. 

Arsenal goes two points clear at the top of Group C standings, with Caitlin Foord not making an appearance off the bench in the win. 

The other game in Group C saw Ellie Carpenter's Olympique Lyonnais held to a 1-1 draw by Juventus, with the reigning champions still searching for their first win of the group stage.

Group D

Lastly, Teagan Micah's FC Rosengård had a tough challenge, hosting former champions and last season's runners-up, FC Barcelona.

Micah started in goals for the Swedish side and was able to keep the Spanish giants at bay until the 30th minute when Aitana Bonmatí breached the Rosengård defence. 

Bonmatí doubled her tally 11 minutes later before the home side clawed a goal back through Olivia Holdt. María Caldentey restored Barcelona's two-goal lead at the hour mark. 


Micah denied Bonmatí a hat-trick among a string of excellent saves before Caldentey sealed all three points for the Spanish side with their fourth goal in stoppage time. 

Rosengård will now face Benfica in their next game, with both sides winless in the group stage.
