First up, Sam Kerr's Chelsea hosted Mackenzie Arnold's West Ham United at Kingsmeadow, and it was the visitors that got off to the dream start with the Hammers skipper Dagný Brynjarsdóttir finding the opener.

Kerr went close twice to clawing back the equaliser, with two attempts rattling the woodwork of the goal. After constant pressure on the goal, the Hammers defence finally cracked, with Fran Kirby scoring the equaliser before the break.

Arnold made a number of key saves to keep the scores locked at 1-1, but her Australian counterpart in Kerr would put her side in front, capatilising off a scramble in the box and opening her scoring for the season.

Millie Bright sealed all three points for the Blues with their third of the night, nodding in a corner. The action wouldn't stop there, however, with Lauren James going to the spot in the 77th-minute after being brought down in the box. Arnold would prove the hero, denying James from 12 yards.

Moving over to the UEFA Women's Champions League, five sides featuring Aussies were vying for a spot in the UWCL group stage, with it all going down to the second leg.

SK Brann Kvinner v FC Rosengård

First, Teagan Micah's FC Rosengård hosted Tameka Yallop's SK Brann Kvinner, with their first encounter ending in a 1-1 draw.

Micah made the start in goals once again, and it was her side that found the opener with Sofie Bredgaard scoring in the 50th minute.

Rosengård doubled their advantage just five minutes later through Mimmi Larsson. The forward would once again find the back of the net with 20 minutes to go, surely sealing their spot in the UWCL group stage.

Maria Dybwad Brochmann clawed a goal back for Brann, with the game ending 4-2 on aggregate to Rosengård, with Yallop remaining on the bench in the defeat.

Paris Saint-Germain F.C. v BK Häcken

Next up, Lydia Williams' Paris Saint-Germain faced Aivi Luik's BK Häcken for a place in the group stage, Luik making the start for the home side.

PSG went into the game up 2-1 on aggregate, however, the Swedish side held their own to send the game into the break locked at 0-0.

Not long after the start of the second half, new signing Lieke Martens found the back of the net, scoring in her second consecutive UWCL game.

Kadidiatou Diani doubled PSG's lead not long after, sending the French side into the group stage.

Arsenal v AFC Ajax

Finally, Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley's Arsenal travelled to Amsterdam to take on AFC Ajax, with the last meeting between the two sides in London ending 2-2.

Both Aussies would make the start for the Gunners and played the entire game in a narrow 1-0 win.

Arsenal was on the front foot early, with Catley picking out Stina Blackstenius, however, her attempt was saved.

Vivianne Miedema finally found the breakthrough for the visitors, giving her side the much-needed lead. The 1-0 result sees Arsenal book their spot in the group stage.

Two more teams will be aiming to book their spot in the group stage tomorrow, with the draw set for Monday 3, October and will be live streamed.
