Vote Kerr for MVP in the NWSL End of Year Fan Awards

Westfield Matildas captain Sam Kerr is one of five Most Valuable Player nominees in the National Women’s Soccer League’s End of Year Fan Awards.

The 26-year-old delivered a history-making season while helping Chicago Red Stars finish second in the NWSL ladder, smashing her own record for most goals in a season, scoring 18 times.

Kerr clinched the NWSL Golden Boot for an unprecedented third time, scoring against every other team in the NWSL, including a hat-trick in a 3-2 away win against Orlando Pride. She also recorded five assists.

One of Kerr’s Red Stars teammates, Japan international Yuki Nagasato, is also nominated for MVP, alongside North Carolina Courage’s trio Kristen Hamilton, Lynn Williams and Brazil international Debinha.

Fans can also vote their best XI of the NWSL 2019 season, which includes Westfield Matildas Mackenzie Arnold, Ellie Carpenter, Steph Catley, Caitlin Foord, Amy Harrison, Elise Kellond-Knight, Alanna Kennedy, Chloe Logarzo, Clare Polkinghorne, Hayley Raso, Kyah Simon, Emily van Egmond and Lydia Williams.
