Manchester City and SK Brann Kvinner have booked their place in Monday's round 1 final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying. While, Fortuna Hjørring were knocked out by four-time champions, Eintracht Frankfurt.
Real Madrid and Manchester City set up a rematch in the Round 1 Final, looking to book a place in Round 2 of UWCL qualifications. SK Brann Kvinner will face ŽFK Spartak Subotica on Monday morning.
SK Brann Kvinner v ALG Spor
Tameka Yallop's SK Brann Kvinner booked their place in the UWCL Round One semi-final, defeating Turkish side ALG Spor 1-0.
Maria Dybwad Brochmann was the hero for the second game in a row for SK Brann, finding the match winner in the fourth minute.
Yallop did not appear in the game, with a busy schedule seeing them play once again on Monday morning for a spot in Round 2 of UWCL qualifying.
SK Brann will now face Serbian side ŽFK Spartak Subotica on Monday morning at 3:00 am AEST.
Fortuna Hjørring v Eintracht Frankfurt
Angela Beard and Clare Wheeler's Fortuna Hjørring faced a 2-0 defeat at the hands of four-time UWCL champions, Eintracht Frankfurt, who won the titles under their previous name FFC Frankfurt.
Beard made the start for Fortuna, as two first-half goals sealed Eintracht Frankfurt's progression to the next round of qualification.
Fortuna will meet Kristianstads DFF in the third-placed playoff on Sunday night at 9:00 pm AEST, with neither team able to progress to the next round.
Manchester City v Tomiris-Turan
Mary Fowler made her competitive debut for Manchester City in their 6-0 victory over WFC Tomiris-Turan.
Fowler made the start for City, with an early brace from Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw and Lauren Hemp giving Manchester a 3-0 lead going into the break.
Hayley Raso came off the bench in the 73rd minute to replace Chloe Kelly, and was in the thick of the action straight away, forcing a goal-line save from Aigerim Aitymova.
Vicky Losada, Deyna Castellanos and Keira Walsh all found the back of the net late in the game to seal the 6-0 and book another clash with Real Madrid.
Alanna Kennedy did not feature in the game, Manchester City will now face Real Madrid on Monday morning at 5:00 am for a place in Round 2 of UWCL qualifying.
