The quarter-final draw will take place on Tuesday the 21st of December at 6:00 am AEDT, the four group winners will be seeded and drawn against the four group runners-up. However, no group winners can meet the runners-up from their own group, meaning Arsenal are unable to be drawn against Barcelona and Lyon and Bayern Munich will be unable to draw one another for the quarter-finals.

The semi-final draw will also be made on the same day, with the winner of each quarter-final being drawn. The first team drawn in each tie will play the first leg at home.

Group A

Sam Kerr’s Chelsea sadly fell just short of qualifying for the final eight. After a first UWCL final appearance last season, Emma Hayes’ side were hoping they could deliver the same blow to Wolfsburg that saw the Blues knock the German side out of the quarter-finals.

With the top of Group A a tight race, Wolfsburg needed to beat Chelsea by more than two goals to progress. The hosts took the lead just 16 minutes into the game through Svenja Huth, her attempt was initially saved by Chelsea keeper Zećira Mušović but Huth was there to ire the rebound past the keeper.

Minutes later Huth was on the scoresheet yet again to give Wolfsburg a two-goal advantage. Kerr came the closest to scoring for Chelsea before the half was up, Erin Cuthbert floated a tempting cross to Kerr at the back post, but her shot hit the woodwork.

Tabea Waßmuth continued her dominance against Chelsea, after scoring two goals in the last meeting between the two sides the striker again picked up a brace to send Wolfsburg into the quarter-finals.

Group C

Arsenal went into their last group stage match knowing if Hoffenheim defeated them by five goals or more they would overtake them in second place.

Lydia Williams and Steph Catley made the start for the Gunners. Arsenal created some promising early chances, however, it would be the hosts that would take the lead through Jule Brand.

Arsenal would go into the break with the scores level after Mana Iwabuchi's powerful chance was turned into the back of Hoffenheim's net by defender Laura Wienroither.

The hosts came out of the half time break fighting, Chantal Hagel able to restore the lead and then two minutes later add Hoffenheim's third of the night.

Gia Corley made it three goals in the space of five minutes adding the fourth for the hosts and making it 4-1, however Hoffenheim were unable to find two ore goals in order to take Arsenal's place in the knockout stages.

Group D

Ellie Carpenter's Lyon were attempting to top their group in their last game of the group stage against BK Häcken, having already qualified last week.

Carpenter made the start for Lyon and was in the thick of the action early, forcing Häcken's keeper Jennifer Falk into a save from range.

Just before the break American Catarina Macario found the opener for Lyon to give the hosts a one goal advantage going into the break.

Ada Hegerberg added Lyon's second minutes after the break, Selma Bacha delivered a pinpoint low cross that found the Norwegian in the box and was able to finish the chance past Falk.

Goals to Amandine Henry and Janice Cayman in the final 20 minutes sealed the 4-0 win and clinched first place in Group D. Lyon will now be seeded going into the quarter-final draw on Tuesday morning.
