Teagan Micah joins FC Rosengård

Teagan Micah has become the latest Matilda to join the Damallsvenskan in Sweden, signing a two-year deal with FC Rosengård.

Micah's deal will see her remain at her Swedish club on a two-year contract, signing from Norwegian side IL Sandviken.

Journey 2023

Micah made six appearances for the ladder leaders, before joining the Matildas for friendlies and Tokyo 2020.

She will wear number 18 for the Swedish giants, vying for a starting position between the posts against Tokyo 2020 gold medal winner, Stephanie Labbé.

Teagan joins a number of fellow Australians competing in the Damallsvenskan; Charlotte Grant at Rosengård, with Clare Polkinghorne and Emily Gielnik at Vittsjö GIK, Elise Kellond-Knight at Hammarby and Dylan Holmes at BK Häcken.

"I am very happy to have signed for FC Rosengård. It seems to be a high-quality club with top players that will challenge me for the next two years." Micah told fcrosengard.se

"I am very much looking forward to joining the team and meeting everyone after the Olympics,"

Teagan will have the opportunity to play Champions League football for the first time with FC Rosengård, a challenge that will no doubt strength her skills.

After a standout campaign at the Olympic Games, there's no doubt Micah will fit in with her world-class teammates, playing alongside some of Sweden's best players, including the national teams most capped player captain Caroline Seger.

Therese Sjögran, Sports Director of FC Rosengård is excited to welcome Micah to the team saying,  "We are very happy that Teagan is ready for FCR. She is a goalkeeper who is very comfortable with her feet and has a game in the air that makes her dominate her penalty area."

The 2021 Damallsvenskan season will return from break after the Olympic Games, with Micah's Rosengård taking on KIF Örebro DFF at the end of the month.
