Kerr makes her fourth consecutive appearance on the shortlist while 20-year-old Carpenter has been included for the first time.

The young fullback continued to progress in leaps and bounds during 2020, sealing a momentous transfer to reigning European Champions Olympique Lyonnaise in October, where she collected a Champions League medal within weeks.

The French powerhouses are the most represented club in this year's vote, with ten players on the shortlist.

Kerr is one of five players representing Chelsea, the FA Women's Super League club she secured a headline transfer to in late 2019.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a successful 12 months with the English outfit and is currently the club's top scorer having registered six goals in seven league games.

The Westfield Matildas captain also chipped in with four goals in five games to help her nation secure a spot at the Tokyo Olympics.

While Kerr has found her place on the shortlist since 2017, she has never appeared in the final FIFAPro 11.

The World 11 of the 2019/2020 season will be announced at FIFA's The Best Football Awards next Thursday, 17 December.

The nominated lineup will include a goalkeeper and at least three defenders, midfielders and attackers, with the final spot in the team being assigned to the outfield player with the next highest votes tally.
