Westfield Matildas midfielder Collette McCallum came out on top in the battle of the Aussies overnight, as Sky Blue FC defeated Sarah Walsh-s St Louis Athletica 1-0 in the Super Semifinal at The Anheuser-Busch Soccer Park in Fenton.

The victory earned Sky Blue and unlikely place in Saturday-s WPS Championship decider against WPS regular season champion the Los Angeles Sol at the Home Depot Centre in Carson, Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon (Sunday AEST).

Defender Keeley Dowling scored her first goal of the season to give the fourth-ranked Sky Blue victory over second ranked St Louis. Her game-winning goal came in the 30th minute a delightfully curled shot inside the left post.

McCallum started once again in the centre of midfield for Sky Blue, playing 73 minutes before being replaced.

Walsh, who has only returned to action in the past month due to a long-term hamstring injury, played a full game and had one chance late in the game to tie it up, but her lobbed shot went over the bar.
