#GoldenTweets of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2019™ revealed

Tim Cahill and Caitlin Foord were among the winners as Twitter revealed its #GoldenTweet awards from the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2019™.

Twitter announced that its #GoldenTweet awards recognised the most interesting posts shared across the world as part of the #FIFAWWC conversation.

Caltex Socceroos legend Tim Cahill paid tribute to Sam Kerr’s historic four-goal salvo against Jamaica which sealed the Westfield Matildas’ progress to the knockout stages with this epic image. It was retweeted more than 550 times and liked by more than 5,200. 

And Foord posted a pic of herself, skipper Kerr and Ellie Carpenter getting fired up ahead of the start of the competition which was liked 1,360 times.

The most popular post from the official Westfield Matildas’ Twitter channel, unsurprisingly, was the full-time graphic from the heroic 3-2 comeback win against Brazil.
