Caitlin Foord made a century of appearances for Arsenal, Sam Kerr picked up two assists, Clare Hunt played her first league minutes for PSG and Aivi Luik returned to BK Häcken’s starting line-up as leagues heat up around the globe.

England
Manchester City continued their good start to the season as a Chloe Kelly goal ensured they ran out 1-0 victors over Leicester City. Mary Fowler started the game for City before being withdrawn at the 60-minute mark, while Alanna Kennedy played the full game at centre-back. Facing them was Courtney Nevin, who played the entire match for Leicester.
A 95th-minute equaliser to Riko Ueki to make it 1-1 meant that Mackenzie Arnold’s West Ham shared the points with Teagan Micah’s Liverpool. Arnold played the full game in goals for the Hammers, while Micah was an unused substitute.
Sam Kerr showed that there are more strings to her bow than just goalscoring, picking up two assists as Chelsea defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 4-2. Brighton thought the upset may have been on after Pauline Bremer scored early, but Chelsea showed their class as the match wore on. Charlie Rule came off the bench in the second half for the Seagulls.
It was a day to forget for Clare Wheeler and Everton, beaten by Manchester United 5-0. Wheeler played the full match for Everton in an unfamiliar left wing-back position. Rachel Williams and Nikita Parris both picked up braces for United.
Caitlin Foord made her 100th appearance for Arsenal and her side picked up a much-needed three points against Bristol City. A brace to Katie McCabe was enough for the Gunners to win 2-1 who conceded from Bristol’s only shot of the game. Steph Catley played the full match as a left-back while Kyra Cooney-Cross was an unused substitute. In a win for followers of the world game, the match also marked the return of Dutch striker Vivianne Miedema after an ACL injury.
Sweden
Aivi Luik made her return to the starting lineup as a goal to Monica Bah was enough for BK Häcken to defeat Uppsala 1-0. After Hammarby could only manage a draw in their fixture, it means that they are now three points on top of the ladder with two games to play.
It was a disappointing day for Vittsjö GIK as they were defeated 2-0 by Rosengård to put an end to their top-three hopes. Charli Grant picked up a red card and conceded a penalty late in stoppage time as she denied an obvious goalscoring opportunity in an attempt to keep her team in the game. Katrina Gorry and Clare Polkinghorne both played the full match.
Kristianstads DFF were kept to a scoreless draw against Växjö DFF. Amy Sayer started and played the full match for Kristianstads. They, too, are now all but out of contention for the top three.
France
It was a good weekend for the CommBank Matildas in France. Clare Hunt started her first league fixture as PSG defeated Lille away from home 4-0. The centre-back is having her minutes managed as she deals with some injury concerns and was substituted at half-time but will be pleased with the clean sheet.
Meanwhile, Ellie Carpenter’s Lyon defeated Reims 5-1. Carpenter was unavailable for the fixture as she is travelling to meet up with the CommBank Matildas squad in Perth.
Mexico
Alex Chidiac came off the bench in the second half as her Tigres UANL side fell 3-1 to Monterrey in the penultimate game of the season. It means that they have been overtaken at the top of the table by arch-rivals Club América. There is one more game of the season to go after the international break, but finishing first is now out of their hands.
