Kicking off in Louisville, Alex Chidiac's Racing Louisville, unfortunately, extended their winless run to six games, going down 2-1 to Gotham.

Chidiac started the game for the home side, however, it was the visitors that would find the opener, with Paige Monaghan managing to squeeze the opener past Katie Lund in Racing's goal.

Savannah DeMelo’s strike helped pull the match level to 1-1. Gotham had the match-winner in the 80th minute, with Taylor Smith scoring her first in Gotham colours.

Moving to the West Coast, Emily van Egmond's San Diego faced Angel City FC in the California Derby. Van Egmond made her 12th regular-season start for Wave FC, playing the whole game for San Diego.

Angel City kicked off the action early with defender Ali Riley opening the scoring in just the ninth minute, sneaking the ball through Carly Telford's legs to go one-up.

Abby Dahlkemper almost clawed back the equaliser for Wave, with her free-kick hitting the crossbar. The leveller would finally come through Kristen McNabb, able to tuck her attempt into the bottom corner to even the scores.

Angel City went down to 10 players, as a second yellow card was produced for Tyler Lussi, however, regardless of the player advantage, it was Angel City that would find the winner. Claire Emslie was able to find the back of the net in her debut.

Despite the loss, Wave FC keep their spot at the top of the table, with Chicago Red Stars sitting just one point behind them with a game in hand.
