It is another busy weekend for the Matildas abroad. Arsenal are hoping to bounce back from a shock loss against Liverpool as they play Manchester United, Mary Fowler and Alanna Kennedy will take on Sam Kerr, and it’s Aussie v Aussie in Sweden.

Steph Catley, Caitlin Foord and Kyra-Cooney-Cross will be hoping that their Arsenal side can secure their first points of the season as they take on Manchester United on Saturday, 5.30am AEDT. 21-year-old Cooney-Cross debuted last weekend as a second-half substitute.

The early kick-off on Sunday sees Mackenzie Arnold’s West Ham travel to Brighton & Hove Albion at 10pm AEDT. The goalkeeper saved a penalty last week but, after defeat, will be hoping for a better result against fellow Australians Charlie Rule and Mackenzie Hawkesby.
A battle of the heavyweights looms as Mary Fowler and Alanna Kennedy’s Manchester City will host Sam Kerr’s Chelsea on Sunday, 10.30pm AEDT. This could be a match that has an enormous amount of importance to the season. There is no word yet on Sam Kerr’s availability after being rested for round one.
Courtney Nevin’s Leicester City will take on Clare Wheeler’s Everton on Monday, 1am AEDT. Remy Siemsen continues to be unavailable for Leicester City with an injury acquired in preseason.

Finally, Teagan Micah’s Liverpool will host Aston Villa on Monday, 4.45am AEDT. She is still awaiting her competitive debut for the Reds after being on the bench in round one.

Sweden
It will be a battle of Australians on Saturday, 3am AEDT as Aivi Luik’s BK Häcken takes on Clare Polkinghorne, Katrina Gorry and Charli Grant’s Vittsjö GIK. BK Häcken are currently second on goal difference but will come up against tough opponents in fifth-place Vittsjö, themselves hoping to secure a European place.
Amy Sayer’s Kristianstads DFF play first-placed Hammarby in a result that could have massive implications for the table. A win would not only open the door for BK Häcken to move to first, but it would also keep Kristianstads within reach of the top three.
France
PSG feature in the first game of this weekend’s fixtures, travelling to Saint-Etienne on Saturday, 3am AEDT. Clare Hunt will be hoping to make her first matchday squad for the French club.
Meanwhile, Ellie Carpenter’s Lyon will play in the last of the fixtures. They host Bordeaux on Monday, 6am AEDT in a bid to continue their early season dominance.
Spain
Fresh off her first goal for the club midweek, Hayley Raso will be hoping to continue her form as Real Madrid host Villarreal on Sunday, 5.30am AEDT.

Emily van Egmond’s San Diego Wave will travel to play fourth-placed North Carolina Courage on Sunday, 10am AEDT. They currently sit top of the table with only two games remaining and are the first team to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Tigres UANL will play Club Tijuana on Monday, 10am AEDT. Alex Chidiac will be hoping to continue her positive impact, after making her first start in a 3-0 victory over UNAM midweek. Tigres currently have a four-point lead on top of the table.
