Matildas Abroad: Kellond-Knight completes comeback

With Tokyo just around the corner, the Australians who are still in club land have been hard at work to help their teams before they link up with their national teammates.

Here's a wrap of those still in action!

Sweden

Sitting on the bench and coming on in the 85th minute isn't usually something to write home about. Unless of course, it's your return to the pitch after an ACL injury has kept you out for almost a year.

That's exactly what happened for Elise Kellond-Knight who made her Hammarby debut and completed her injury comeback over the weekend.

There were a few familiar faces to mark the occasion with Clare Polkinghorne and Emily Gielnik lining up for the opposition. Ultimately, Kellond-Knight's Hammarby went down 1-0 to Gielnik and Polkinghorne's Vittsjö.

Elsewhere in Sweden, Charlotte Grant was an unused sub for FC Rosengård in its scoreless draw with KIF Örebro.

Teagan Micah has had a busy month. She made her national team debut, won Goalkeeper of the Year at the Dolan Warren Awards after her strong season with Melbourne City, and continued to put in the work with her Norwegian club IL Sandviken.

In its most recent match, Sandviken defeated Klepp 3-1.  The team sits second on the ladder and is undefeated with six wins and a draw from its first seven games.

Chloe Logarzo returned from a hip injury for Kansas City in NWSL. The midfielder played 25 minutes and then a half in two games in late June. Logarzo has since joined her national team teammates in Sweden for the transition camp.
