A few months ago, nine-year-old Matildas fan Willow went viral after an emotional video of her opening a Sam Kerr jersey she received for her birthday was shared by Sam Kerr and the Westfield Matildas.
It was a beautiful moment, and Kerr wrote: "Wow amazing. Happy birthday :) Hopefully I can meet you and sign it one day soon."
And a few months later, she did. However, Willow had no idea what was about to happen.

“It’s pretty amazing really,” said Kerr. “Mum said I was never seen without a Ronaldo or Beckham jersey on and if I got the chance to meet them I can imagine how I would have felt.
“They’re your heroes, you look up to them and that’s what you dream of being. I’m sure for Willow it’s an amazing experience but it’s just as rewarding for me.”
