Gustavsson and Raso speak to media after win over Thailand

There were good times for the 11,271-strong crowd in Gosford as goals to Sam Kerr and Hayley Raso helped the CommBank Matildas to a 2-0 victory over Thailand.

Hayley Raso doubled the Australians' lead just after the halftime break, helping the CommBank Matildas finish the year with a win, and spoke to the media after the win.

"We had a lot of chances, we need to be a little bit more clinical," said Raso.

"But in the end, it's the result that counts."

After hitting the crossbar in the first half, the game looked destined to go into the interval locked at 0-0, before captain Sam Kerr found the opener for the second game in a row.

"We started off the game phenomenally; one of our best starts to a game in a very long time," Gustavsson said.

"Especially in those first 10 minutes, we were really flying."

"We need to give credit to the Thailand goalkeeper (Waraporn Boonsing), I think she had a phenomenal game."

After naming an identical Starting XI to the side that started against Sweden on Saturday in Melbourne, Gustavsson spoke about the addition of a handful of game changes off the bench.

These changes saw Grant, Foord and Vine replaced after the break, with Larissa Crummer taking over Grant in right-back.

"(Grant) is a warrior, if I wanted her to push through in the second half she would have," Gustavsson said.

The final 10 minutes of the game saw a welcome return, with Elise Kellond-Knight making her first appearance in over two years after recovering from a knee injury.

"Two and a half years and she's been through a crossroad moment in her career that could have been a career-ending moment," Gustavsson explained.

"You can see how the team get around her as well and have that moment. So I'm so happy for KK to get those minutes on the pitch because she deserves it"
