Gallery: Westfield Matildas' 40th anniversary celebrations

Stars of the Westfield Matildas past and present united on Saturday, 6 October to celebrate 40 years since the Australia women's team's first ever international match.

A plaque was unveiled by Julie Dolan AM, who captained Australia as an 18 year old on that historic day in the match against New Zealand at Seymour Shaw Park on October 7, 1979.
