Aussies Abroad | Rogic makes immediate impact

Former Central Coast star Tom Rogic made an immediate impact on debut for new team Celtic, setting up a goal in a man of the match performance.

The Aussie to star abroad on the weekend was undoubtedly Tom Rogic.

The Central Coast Mariners graduate departed for Celtic with plenty of hype - and he lived up to it immediately with some super touches on debut. He set up a goal, played 90 minutes and won man of the match against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Celtic boss Neil Lennon said after the match: "Tom has settled in very quickly.

"You feel sometimes that there will be a wee readjustment period but he has settled in very quickly."

Another star on the horizon is Curtis Good, who caught up with Fox Sports' Kick Off program on Friday to talk about his exciting date at Wembley Stadium coming up.

Good's Bradford City face Swansea in the League Cup final on February 24 after beating Aston Villa in the semi-finals.

Not only was side's win remarkable - but so too was Good's meteoric journey.

"The gaffer comes in and he puts the (Villa) squad up on the board," Good said.

"You think: Geez, that's my Fantasy EPL team from a few years ago!"

Elsewhere in Europe, in the Barclays Premier League, Mark Schwarzer's Fulham played out a 0-0 draw with Norwich City, while Adam Federici also played 90 minutes as Reading lost 2-1 to Stoke City. There was more frustration for Brett Holman, who was on the bench as Aston Villa escaped the drop zone.

In the English Championship, Mile Jedinak couldn't quite return to fitness in time for Crystal Palace's 2-2 draw with Watford. Elsewhere, Shane Lowry played 90 minutes as Millwall lost to Blackpool, Rhys Williams's Middlesbrough lost 2-3 to Barnsley,

Robbie Kruse, who impressed for the Socceroos against Romania, played until the 83rd minute in the Bundesliga - and Dusseldorf conceded just afterwards in a 1-0 loss to SC Freiburg.

Over in Holland, Michael Zullo played until the 63rd minute as FC Utrecht went down 3-0 to NEC Nijmegen and slid to sixth spot.
