The best way to describe Alanna Kennedy is “Family First.” The Kennedy family are incredibly close and Alanna’s priority whenever she gets time off is to spend time with her parents, siblings and nieces and nephews or at the pilates studio or beach.

Growing up in Campbelltown, the Little Athletic Hall of Famer competed against Caitlin Foord, but has now joined forces with her to represent Australia together at all football age groups.

The versatile defender and free-kick specialist has played across the Australian women’s league for Sydney FC, Newcastle Jets, and Western Sydney Wanderers prior to making her move overseas to win a championship with the now defunct Western New York Flash prior to switching to USA’s National Women’s Soccer League’s Orlando Pride.

Kennedy’s introduction to England’s Women’s Super League came through Tottenham Hotspur prior to moving to her current side, Manchester City in 2021.

Outside of the football field, Alanna can be found at local cafes and even skateboarding whilst also dabbling in photography.
