Westfield Matildas latest FIFA world ranking revealed

The Westfield Matildas have been confirmed in Pot 1 for Sunday morning’s (AEDT) FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ draw after the latest rankings were confirmed on Friday.

Alen Stajcic’s side remain at number 6, meaning they stay in the top pot for the draw alongside the USA (ranked first), Germany (two), France (third), England (fourth) and Canada (fifth).

It’s a big bonus for the Westfield Matildas, meaning they can’t be drawn against any of those nations in the group stage for next year’s tournament.

One of those nations will definitely be in the Westfield Matildas’ group.

The draw will be broadcast LIVE and FREE on SBS and Optus Sport on Sunday, December 9 at 4am AEDT.
