The Westfield Matildas have returned to camp at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) in Canberra this week for their second training camp under new Head Coach Hesterine de Reus.

The four day camp gives de Reus her second opportunity to run the squad through their paces.

With some key players for the Westfield Matildas already playing overseas including Tameka Butt in Germany (1 FFC Frankfurt) and Servet Uzunlar in the Korea Republic (Sportstoto WFC ) and a host of player still returning from injury including defensive trio Kim Carroll, Danielle Brogan and Ellyse Perry, de Reus has selected a reduced 22-player squad for the camp, one of six to be held at the AIS over the next three months.

Following the camp several other key players are expected to travel overseas in the coming weeks, including USA bound quartette Kyah Simon (Boston Breakers), Sam Kerr (Western New York Flash) and recently signed Sky Blue FC pair Caitlin Foord and Lisa de Vanna.
