The Westfield Matidas have jumped in the FIFA world rankings moving one spot to sixth, the world governing body announced today.
The Matildas were seventh in the world but in the latest rankings are now sixth after a stunning couple of months in which they defeated USA, Brazil and Japan at the Tournament of Nations to win the trophy.
The side is set to play Brazil in September in two friendlies in Australia.
The Brazilians have dropped in the latest rankings to ninth.
The world's top-ranked nation is USA, followed by Germany and England.
