WATCH: Yallop scores first for SK Brann; Jacynta nets hat-trick for Celtic

Tameka Yallop scored her first goal for SK Brann Kvinner in their 4-0 win to stay in first place; while Jacynta Galabadaarachchi netted her first-ever hat-trick for Celtic in their 9-0 season opener. 

Two Matildas Abroad found the back of the net to help their side to emphatic wins; while Wave FC faced just their fourth loss of the season that sees them drop to second on the table.

Kicking off in the USA, Alex Chidiac's Racing Louisville and Washington Spirit settled for a 1-1 draw, Racing's second consecutive draw. 

Louisville’s Nadia Nadim scored early in the second half before Spirit's Ashley Hatch found the equaliser in the 64th minute. Chidiac entered the game in the 70th minute but was unable to help Racing find the matchwinner. 

Moving over to San Diego, Emily Van Egmond's San Diego Wave FC were dethroned of first place after a 2-1 loss to Chloe Logarzo's Kansas City Current. 

First-half goals from Cece Kizer and Hailie Mace saw the visitors take a 2-0 lead going into the break. For the second week in a row, Kailen Sheridan made a save from the spot to keep Wave FC in the game, with Amirah Ali able to claw back a goal in the 88th minute.


Wave was unable to find the equaliser, facing their fourth loss of the season as Portland Thorns overtook them at the top of the table, and Kansas extended their unbeaten run to nine games. 

Moving over to Denmark, Matilda McNamara made her debut for AGF in their 1-1 draw with Kolding IF in the opening game of the Elitedivisionen.


McNamara started as AGF took only 10 minutes to find the back of the net through Caroline Ahrendsten Jensen. However, Kolding was able to snatch a point with an 84th-minute equaliser from Sofie Horseman.

Winonah Heatley made her debut for FC Nordsjælland, however, her side went down 3-1 to FC Thy-Thisted Q in their opening game of the season. 

Meanwhile, Clare Wheeler and Angie Beard's Fortuna Hjørring started their campaign with a 2-1 win over newly promoted Sundby. 

Beard started for Fortuna, with the visitors taking the lead in the 5th minute through Florentina Spânu. Sundby clawed back a goal in the 59th minute to make it 1-1, however, Fortuna found the matchwinner just two minutes later through Ashley Lynn Riefner. 

Wheeler did not feature in the matchday squad for the opening win.

In Scotland, Jacynta Galabadaarachchi scored her first-ever hat-trick for Celtic in their 9-0 win over Hibernian F.C. It took the young forward just 30 seconds to open her account for the season, finishing from close range. 

Galabadaarachchi completed her hat-trick just before the break, giving her side a 6-0 lead going into the second half and giving Celtic the ideal start to the season. 

Our last stop takes us to Norway, where Tameka Yallop scored her first goal for SK Brann Kvinner, taking just three minutes to find the opener as Brann defeated Lyn 4-0.

Brann remains at the top of the table after the win, with only two games remaining in the regular season.
