Victory boys flying home to face Reds

Head Coach Holger Osieck has allowed Nathan Coe and Connor Pain to leave Socceroos camp to play in Melbourne Victory's match against Liverpool.

Socceroos Head Coach Holger Osieck has granted permission for Nathan Coe and Connor Pain to leave camp in Seoul, Korea Republic, and return to Australia to be able to play for Melbourne Victory in the club-s match against Liverpool FC on Wednesday evening at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Coe and Pain will depart this afternoon and will return to the Seoul on Thursday 25 July. Due to flight timings, Coe and Pain will be unavailable for selection for the Socceroos next EAFF East Asian Cup match against Japan in Hwaseong on Thursday 15 July (kick-off 8:00pm local, 9:00pm AEST), but available for the Socceroos final match of the tournament against China PR on Sunday 28 July (kick-off 5:15pm local, 6:15pm AEST).

The Socceroos opened their EAFF East Asian Cup campaign with a hard-fought scoreless draw against the Korea Republic last night at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

All matches from the EAFF East Asian Cup will be broadcast live and exclusively on Fox Sports.
