Update to Westfield Young Matildas squad for qualifiers

Football Federation Australia (FFA) has confirmed on Friday a change to the Westfield Young Matildas squad for the first phase of qualifying for the 2019 AFC U19 Women’s Championship.

Westfield Young Matildas coach Gary van Egmond has called up Sydney FC’s Julia Vignes to replace injured Melbourne Victory player MelindaJ Barbieri.

The young Aussies take on Lebanon, Hong Kong and Mongolia in Beirut next week as the team seeks to advance to the second round of qualifiers for the tournament.

The Westfield Young Matildas will depart for Lebanon on Friday.
