Time's running out to snap up World Cup tickets

With under three months left until the big kick off in South Africa, it's almost the last chance for Qantas Socceroo supporters to get their hands on match tickets.

Mad or Passionate- It-s a thin line that separates the two

Qantas Socceroo fans are being urged to join the cause and grab their tickets before it-s too late…

Tickets for the FIFA World Cup in South Africa are selling fast and with less than three months left until the big kick-off, fans will miss out if they don-t hurry. There are lots of ways to buy tickets (see below) varying from full travel and hospitality packages to ticket only sales.

Some fans have taken things to a new level though, buying up tickets for games all over South Africa, for different teams, throughout the tournament.

Stories of fans from all over the world are coming in but here in Australia we have our own very enthusiastic fanatics that have taken their football addiction to another level.

Football nut Gabby Leibovich is seeing 12 teams in 14 days on his trip to South Africa, including the opening ceremony and game between South Africa and Mexico.

Aside from all of the Qantas Socceroo group games, he-s also going on to see Holland, Denmark, Brazil, Ivory Coast, Spain, Italy and England.

It sounds like a lot but to a man who got married at the Etihad stadium in Melbourne during a Leeds United friendly, it-s an opportunity he couldn-t miss.

“It-s a once in a lifetime thing” he said laughingly. “I can-t wait to see everyone, especially England with all their superstars.”

“I-m just a soccer addict, that-s all you can say.”

“When I told my wife that we were getting married at the Etihad and Robbie Fowler was my best man she wasn-t so keen but I said if you don-t do it I-ll find somebody else!”

Joking aside, Gabby-s not the only Aussie with World Cup fever; Ben Kirchner is staying for the entire 32 days and is going to at least 17 matches.

Being a serious fan is not cheap, as Ben from Melbourne told us after he took out a mortgage to fund his trip to South Africa.

“I-ve always wanted to go! It-s been a lifelong thing, there-s so many players I-ll get to see”.

“I-m just counting down the days until I go, the African crowd are going to be different and I can-t wait to see the final.”

You can never guarantee anything in football but one thing that can be guaranteed is that Africa's first FIFA World Cup is a once in a life time opportunity and it-s not to be missed!
