Carlos Tevez can achieve great things with Manchester United according to his Argentinean and former West Ham team-mate Javier Mascherano.

Mascherano, now at Liverpool, while happy that Tevez has secured a move to a big club like Manchester United, is also worried that it-s with one of Liverpool-s main rivals in the English Premier League.

The two will possibly line up together next month (September 11) for Argentina, when the world number two ranked team in the world, play Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

'The arrival of Carlos is a double-edged sword,' Mascherano told the UK-s Sunday Mirror newspaper. 'I am happy for him, but, because he has gone to a rival club, I am worried about him because he can do great things.

'Carlos is an explosive forward and is able to unbalance any defence. He is a big danger to everyone in this league.”

While Macherano moved to Liverpool during the January transfer last season, Tevez stayed at West Ham and almost single-handedly kept the Hammers in the Premier League. His winner in the last match of the season against the team he now plays for, sealed the Hammers place in the Premier League for this season.

Over the weekend, Tevez was unable to back up his team-mates words, missing several chances as United lost to its city-rival Manchester City 1-0.

Mascherano meanwhile, had to make do with a place on the bench, as Liverpool drew 1-1 at home with Chelsea.
