Football Federation Australia today announced that the Socceroos would continue their preparation for the 2007 AFC Asian Cup with an international match against Denmark in London on Tuesday 6 February 2007.

Loftus Road the home of Queens Park Rangers will host the match, which is also the venue for the Socceroos international against Ghana which will be played on Tuesday 14 November 2006.

Interim Coach Graham Arnold believes that the match will be another important step in preparing the team for Asia's biggest football event.

"Our goal is to be as successful as possible at the Asian Cup and games like the ones against Ghana and Denmark will give us the opportunity to get much needed preparation matches against high quality opposition," said Arnold.

"Denmark are former European champions and have started well in their Euro 2008 qualifiers so they will prove a tough opponent for us."

"Both matches are a great opportunity for Australians in Europe to support the team. A lot of fans travelled from London to Germany for the World Cup and we'd like to put in a good performance to thank them for their support."

Ranked 22nd in the World, Denmark will use the match to fine-tune ahead of a Euro 2008 qualifier against Spain the following month.

Denmark currently sit in second place in their Euro 2008 qualifying group behind Sweden.

Arnold also confirmed a change to the squad for the match against Ghana with Romania-based Ryan Griffiths coming into the squad after the withdrawal of Scott McDonald due to a hamstring injury.

Tickets for the match v Ghana are now on sale and range from £15 to £25. They are available from Ticketmaster (In the United Kingdom) on 0870 169 6874, www.ticketmaster.co.uk or from the Queens Park Rangers box office on 0870 112 1967.
