Samantha Kerr

Sam burst onto the W-League scene as a precocious 15-year-old with Perth Glory, scoring one of the great goals that season (an audacious lob from distance). But it’s not just goals off the boot – she is a prodigious header of the ball too.

After spells at the Sky Blues and in the US with WNY Flash, this gifted striker is back in the purple of Glory and at 21 is a starting XI player for the national team.

Her goals and celebrations have become legendary. Who can forget her flip celebration in the 2013 W-League Grand Final?

Kerr helped the Matildas secure Australia’s first ever prominent piece of international silverware scoring a superb goal in the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2010 Final in China.
