Qantas Young Socceroos Tour Ends on Damp Note

The final match of the Qantas Young Socceroos South American tour has been cancelled after storms lashed the Argentinian capital.

The Qantas Young Socceroos tour of South America has seen both matches against Argentina Under 20's cancelled after storms lashed the capital Buenos Aires.

The under 20-s national side have only played two of the scheduled four matches on their South American tour thanks to the weather and it's a blow to the entire setup who would have been keen to pit themselves against one of the toughest sides in international youth football.

Due to the fact that the Argentinean players have had to return to their clubs, the Qantas Young Socceroos will now face senior Second Divsion club team, El Porvenir, at 10am, Friday 16 April.

The Qantas Young Socceroos are currently preparing for the AFC U-19 Championship 2010 which will be held 3-17 October 2010 in Zibo, Shandong Province, China PR.

The draw for the AFC U-19 Championship 2010 Finals will be held in the host city of Zibo, China, on 9 May with the tournament to be played from 3-17 October, 2010, at the Zibo Sports Complex Stadium and Linzi Stadium.

The top four (4) teams from the AFC U-19 Championship will qualify for the 2011 FIFA U-20 World Cup which will be held in Colombia.
