On the back of a 15-0 victory against Cambodia, the Qantas Futsalroos confidently jumped to a 3-1 lead against Malaysia at half-time, but the Southeast Asian nation fought back with a 4-4 draw.

Both teams picked up a point in Group B of the 2012 AFC Futsal Championship, ASEAN Zone qualifiers on Wednesday.

Having conceded four goals in the last eight minutes of their opening fixture with Vietnam, Malaysia were looking to get their qualification campaign back on track against the Aussies.

Shervin Adeli, scorer of five goals against the Cambodians and Lachlan Wright put the Futsalroos 2-0 inside the first minute.

However, Malaysia-s Qaiser Heshaam knocked one back in the 11th minute and Australia-s Danny Ngaluafe added a two-goal buffer just before half-time. It was the fourth goal for the 24-year-old Queenslander during this campaign.

Whatever was said at halftime obviously worked for the Malaysian-s, as Zubaidi bin Alwee hit back almost immediately after the restart and it remained 3-2 until five minutes from full time.

Futsalroos skipper Greg Giovenali scored the fourth, but the Malaysian's did not give up after Asmie Amir made it 4-3.

With a 38th minute penalty, Ahmad Fawzul scored at the death to earn his side a share of the spoils.

The Futsalroos take on Vietnam on Thursday in the final round of Group B matches.
