Current Socceroo captain Craig Moore will undergo minor surgery to cure a problem in his right knee that will rule him out for the rest of the Scottish Premier League season, but most likely the Australian matches in May and June as well. Moore has been playing with consistent pain in the knee throughout the season and with Rangers next to no chance of catching Celtic for the premiership, it was decided that he should have the operation, so he would fit for the start of next season. The rehabilitation period is up to eight weeks so Moore will not be seen again in a Rangers jersey this season. Indeed, he may even go back to his homeland to complete his recuperation as it is felt that the warmer climate may be beneficial. Meanwhile Socceroo Tim Cahill, hero in Millwall-s win over Sunderland in the FA Cup Semi Final, had the wind knocked out his sails, after getting sent off in his side-s midweek clash against Tony Vidmar-s Cardiff City. Cahill received his marching orders in the last minute of the 0-0 draw and will miss two vital matches in the upcoming weeks, as they try to push for a play-off promotion spot.
