Former Matildas star, Sarah Walsh caught up with several of the current team ahead of the Cyprus Cup. Here is the first 'Matildas profiles' interview, which features Perth Glory superstar Kathryn Gill.

What is your greatest achievement on the field: Being named Asian player of the year in 2010 And your greatest achievement off the field: Finishing my psychology and business degree. What is your major football goal: To win a medal at the World Cup and Olympics

What is your major goal outside of football: To start my own consulting business, focusing on leadership, teamwork and individual performance in the workplace.

What keeps you busy outside of football? Study!!

Favourite team to play against: Internationally- USA or Japan, in the W-league- Sydney.

Who is your hero: My Grandfather, all my fondest football memories involve him and he was such a likeable and lovable guy, who always made you laugh.

Which Matildas teammate are you closest to: Lisa De Vanna

One thing you love about being a Matilda: That I am part of something special and a team that can create a future for women-s football, both international and in Australia.

Which football team do you support: Everton. I was born into it!

If you could have dinner with any three people who would it be? I would have to say four, my mum and dad and my two brothers. Nothing beats your family.

Favourite holiday destination? New Zealand

Most treasured possession: My Tag watch. It was the first thing I bought for myself.

Favourite food/meal: Breakfast- eggs on toast or weet-bix!

What would you buy with your last $10: A good cup of coffee

Who would play you in a movie: No idea!!!

Most embarrassing moment: I actually don-t really have any. I am pretty good at making sure nothing embarrassing happens. Although loosing 8-2 to Sydney is up there!
