NORWAY

Katrina Gorry and Clare Polkinghorne started and played a full 90 minutes for Avaldsnses in their Round 4 clash against Vålerenga.  While Avaldsnses got off to a great start with the opening goal on five minutes, Vålerenga fought back in the second half with two goals to seal a 2-1 win.

It was late heartbreak for Teagan Micah’s Arna-Bjørnar.  Micah, who started between the sticks and player 90 minutes, saw her side draw level in the 74th minute before a Trondheims-Ørn produced a 95th minute winner.

Defending champions LSK Kvinner made it three wins in a row with a 3-0 victory over Klepp.  Karly Roestbakken notched up 28 minutes as she continues to settle into life in the Norwegian top flight.

SPAIN

ENGLAND

It was a familiar smile and laugh but a different jersey as Westfield Matildas goalkeeper Lydia Williams pulled on the Arsenal kit for the first time.

Williams was the final Aussie to hit the training pitch for the Gunners with Caitlin Foord and Steph Catley slipping straight into the pre-season for what will be a busy start to the new season.

Adding to the commencement of the FA WSL and the conclusion of the UEFA Women’s Champions, Arsenal will also have the final stages of the Women’s FA Cup to navigate after the schedule was released last week

The trio are joined by Hayley Raso’s Everton and Sam Kerr’s Chelsea in the quarter finals of the Women’s FA Cup with Raso and Kerr set to face off.
