Westfield Matilda Sam Kerr and her Chelsea side are through to the UEFA Women's Champions League semi finals!
The Blues backed up their 2-1 win over Wolfsburg in the first leg with a 3-0 victory to take the quarter final 5-1 on aggregate. After scoring and providing an assist in the first leg, Kerr was doing much of the same in this match.
The Australian captain earned the foul which won her side a penalty. Her team mate Pernille Harder slotted it past the 'keeper.
Five minutes later, Kerr doubled Chelsea's advantage. After receiving the ball, surrounded by green shirts, she spun and got away a low shot which was too good for the Wolfsburg goalkeeper. Fran Kirby rounded things out in the 81st minute.
Chelsea now await the results of the Bayern Munich v Rosengard game to learn their semi finals opponents.
Fellow Aussie and Lyon right back Ellie Carpenter will have to wait a little bit longer to learn her Champions League fate after a host of positive COVID-19 results within her team postponed Lyon's second leg tie against PSG.
That game is now set to be played on April 18 with the winner of the quarter final to face Barcelona after they completed a 4-2 aggregate win over Manchester City.
