Mariners agree to Rogic sale

Tom Rogic will join Celtic, with the Central Coast Mariners today agreeing to a transfer fee with the Glasgow club.

Central Coast have accepted a fee believed to be worth around $700,000, allowing Rogic to travel to Scotland to negotiate personal terms, with the deal expected to go through in the next 24-48 hours.

Although he was unable to play in Celtic-s friendly with Steaua Bucharest, the 20-year-old had done enough during his week-long trial with the club in Spain to impress Bhoys manager Neil Lennon.

Despite reported late interest from EPL club Queens Park Rangers, Rogic is reportedly happy with the welcome he received and is ready to move to Celtic Park. Should he make the first team, Rogic could yet get a taste of Champions League football, with Celtic set to play Juventus next month.
