FULL TIME - It's all over! Australia has won 1-0 to move equal with Oman at the top of the group thanks to Tim Cahill's 73rd-minute goal. Australia now takes on Oman in Muscat on November 14.

89 min - After Hassam Al Hosni is booked, Cahill departs for Mile Jedinak and recieves a standing ovation from the crowd of 20,595.

86 min - Cahill tests out Ali Al Habsi from distance, but the keeper is equal to this one, meanwhile Ahmad Mubarak is replaced by Badr Al Maimani

83 min - Change for Oman, Ismail Al Ajmi off for Hashim Saleh

81 min - Appeals for a penalty in the Omani box. but there is no reaction from the referee

79 min - That's Kewell's shift done. He is replaced by David Carney.

76 min - Culina gets optimistic from around 35 metres out. That one is well wide.

73 min - GOAL - Chipperfield does some great work down the left, puts in a low cross, Kennedy flicks on, Cahill at the far post.......... GOOOOOOOAL. He taps it in to give Australia the lead. That's Cahill's 19th goal from 36 Qantas Socceroos appearances.

64 min - Some hard work followed up by a nice cross from Cahill, but it is headed away by the Oman defence

53 min - Cahill latches onto Kennedy's header but his snap shot is narrowly wide

49 min - Luck's a fortune for the visitors. A corner from Wilkshire finds its way to Neill at the far post. His shot hits Al Habsi in the head and rebounds away.

HALF TIME - An entertaining, but score-less first half. Australia began well, but to be honest, Oman had probably the best chance of the half when Hassam Al Hosni shot over from close range on 26 minutes. Plenty to think about for Australia at half-time.
