Kewell reportedly looked sharp playing as a striker and went close to scoring on several occasions, as well as looking good in general play.

He is hoping to be fit enough to play in Liverpool-s European Champions League game Bayer Leverkusen in a weeks time and then the League Cup Final against Chelsea five days later.
